It still feels magical to see my Black Forest Cardigan published!
If you've been following me on Instagram, you might have seen my #midweekhappiness posts. A while ago, I started sharing things that made me happy or smile or grateful over the previous couple of days every Wednesday, and I'd love to incorporate this little tradition as a feature on my website. In a world where so many terrible, sad and upsetting things happen every moment of every day and in our busy and sometimes stressful everyday lives, focussing on those little happy moments gives me a lot of comfort and serves as a very welcome reminder of what I'm grateful for. Whether practicing gratitude is part of your daily routine or makes you want to roll your eyes - I hope you'll enjoy this new series!
Right now, I'm particularly grateful that we get to spend the second half of the week with family, and I also can't wait to meet my friend (and fellow designer) Ruth for coffee and knitting! These past couple of days also brought some exciting news from the fibre world, like our WOODS: Making Stories patterns that are now on Ravelry and gorgeous photos from Laine's issue 3 that keep popping up in my Instagram feed, new designs and magazine collaborations that I can't wait to tell you all about, a personal project that's very dear to me, and last, but not least, two additions to my wardrobe. I'd say I don't have that many clothes in general, but was particularly running low on jeans (read: I only own one pair), mainly because I just hadn't been able to find exactly what I was looking for. After I planned at least three outfits I wanted to wear with the new pair I ordered from Hess Natur, one of my favourite fair fashion companies, I realized that I had managed to order the wrong size when it arrived today, but oh well, I'll just have to wait a few more days for the (hopefully) correct size to arrive, and seeing it in real life today was great anyways! How was your week so far? I'd love to hear about your little happy moments in the comments!
The most stunning Instagram photos from Laine's issue 3 - it's such an honour to contribute my Hygge design to their beautiful magazine!
The baby blanket I'm knitting for my cousin using De Rerum Natura's Gilliatt - I can't believe I get to meet her little baby boy in just a few weeks!
