If you're signed up to our newsletter or follow along on Instagram, you probably heard me talk about this exciting new project I'm currently working on – an electronic (and potentially future print) publication dedicated to all things sustainability, travelling and making!
We're currently accepting submissions for this book project, so continue reading if you think you might be interested in teaming up with us, and please feel free to forward this call for submissions to any friends who might want to submit, too!
About the publication:
The core aim of our work is to contribute our part to a more sustainable, fair and eco-friendly living with everything that we create. This project is another step towards marrying knitwear design, an important part of the work we do, with other sustainability related content we're deeply passionate about. We designed a collection of wearable, versatile knitwear pieces for women, men and kids, ranging from cosy sweaters to smaller accessory projects, destined to be the perfect travel companions. In addition, the publication will feature favourite fair fashion, making and travelling related products, articles and interviews on various aspects of the overall topic such as building a travel wardrobe or ideas for being more sustainable and mindful with our making and travelling as well as listening and reading recommendations.
What we're looking for:
Here at The Wool Club, we're fascinated by the beauty of words and admire the work of artists who use their voice to create art that addresses issues they're passionate about. For this book project, we're looking for single piece submissions that relate to the publication's focus on sustainability and eco-friendlyness in everyday life, travelling and making – poems, thoughts and interestingly written travel memories (up to 300 words) are all welcome.
If accepted, your work will be featured in our publication, and you will be included in our contributor centred content (e.g. short profiles). We're able to offer a compensation of 50-150€ per piece.
How to apply:
Please send us your final submission along with a few words about yourself, your work, how it aligns with our values and why you would like to work with us to Verena at firstname.lastname@example.org by April 29. We only accept original work that hasn't been shared publicly before. Please make sure to include your full name, your business name (if applicable), the piece's title and your online links (website, Social Media).
